FAQ

ProductCamp is a free, community focused, people-driven, collaborative “un-conference” for anyone who works in product management, product marketing, or works with those folks. Attendees mostly work with digital products. The event is also of interest to those who want to move into product and adjacent roles.

Have an interesting product problem? Meet other Product People? Want to learn more about Product Management from Product Managers? RSVP now.

ProductCamp Melbourne is an unconference.

This means, instead of having pre-scheduled speakers, anyone who attends can propose a session at the beginning of the day. Participants at camp will vote on the topics and the most popular sessions are put on the schedule.

Interested in giving a talk? Doing a mini workshop? Leading a discussion? Submit your talk idea (look up in the navigation) and get ready to do a 30 second pitch on the day. When you submit your topic online, we’ll put post it here on the site.

Check the schedule for more details but essentially we kick off Saturday morning. There will be multiple streams of talks, a keynote or two, time to meet new people and say hello to those you have not seen in ages. The multiple streams of talks will be decided by the people who attend – being an unconference, there’s topic pitching and voting to determine the talks. There’s also a job fair and organised chaos!

Food and beverage will be supplied.

After the main event, join us for an after party!

Product Camp is a global phenomenon that started in Silicon Valley in 2008 but now occurs across 50+ cities around the world.

Anyone attending can pitch and present a talk! Submit your proposed topic (See the ‘Submit a Talk‘ in the navigation above) and be ready to do a short pitch on the day.

Participants will vote on which topics they want to talk about, and the most popular topics are put on the schedule.

Product Camp is run by product people, for product people and is free for attendees. Your enthusiastic participation is your contribution!

Sponsors and participating companies make this possible.

Without sponsors, Product Camp would not happen.

Product Camp can help you show off how you do product, help you recruit across the hundreds of attendees and give you that warm and fuzzy feeling of contributing back to the community.
